According to the Irish Examiner, Kilmacud Crokes are expected to counter Glen’s objection of the All-Ireland final result from last weekend.
There was huge controversy in the club All-Ireland final last Sunday, when Kilmacud Crokes narrowly defeated Glen. The incident occured during the final moments of the game when the Dublin club was deemed to have an extra man on the pitch.
Although you could argue that the overall result wasn’t affected, it was still a direct breach of Rule 6.44 (b) (i): “a team exceeding the number of players permitted under Rule 2.1 Rules of Specification, Playing Rules (15 players)”.

Crokes will go before the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee on Friday to give their official stance on the matter. According to the Irish Examiner, the club aren’t interested in a replay and ‘would sooner return the cup than play the game again.’

Kilmacud made mistake but gaa had 7 officials involved in game surelly the gaa should be responsible to make a decision after all they pick the officials to ref games and onus should be on them to make the call replay or nae
