Paris revealed that Tyson wanted to cancel the show and the WBC heavyweight champion confirmed this was the case.
Speaking to Capital XTRA he said,
“Yeah I wanted out, I was like, couple of weeks in I said, ‘Is there any way?’
“I’d be on the phone with my lawyers, ‘Is there any way I can get out of this? I don’t know what I’ve signed up for again. I never said I’d do it again, I’ve done it again, I’ve made a mistake.’
“That’s just my bipolar going up and down all the time, one minute I’m happy, the next minute I’m not and it’s very evident to see my emotional roller-coaster throughout this episode.
“People are going to be shocked because I can take ten turns in an hour.”
Fury returns to the ring on October 28th in a crossover bout against the former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou.
